Tuters wins silver in Canadian Championships

Trent University rowing crews traveled to Langley, British Columbia to compete in the Canadian University Rowing Championships.

Trent University sculler, Jen Tuters of Port Hope Ontario, rowed her single to a silver medal Sunday November 2, in the Canadian University Rowing Championships in Langley, British Columbia. Tutors, who rowed for Canada this past summer in the under 23 World Rowing Championship, has been a dominant force in the Trent University program and proved her ability today. Head Coach Carol Love was pleased with the outcome, saying Jen rowed with both power and control. The University of Alberta won , Gold, Trent Silver, and the University of British Columbia bronze. All other Ontario universities finished out of the medals.

Trent crews finaled in six events, with the Women’s eight placing fourth in the nation and the Men’s pair of Evan Fleming and Peterborough’s Mark Basterfield winning the B Final.
