Trent women's rugby is well established program that that prides itself on traditions from the past. Each year at the end of August, Trent Women's Rugby hosts a training camp where players and coaches come together and get pushed to maximum levels of fitness. Once the team is decided, players undergo practices 5 days a week with a majority of the games taking place on Saturdays. Throughout the season, as well as during off-season, players are expected to attend personal training sessions and fitness testing with Garth Myles, the varsity athletics development trainer. This pushes individuals to become the best possible player they can be.
With the women's rugby team there has always been a strong family dynamic. Teamates often bond both on and off the field through a variety of events, including team dinners the night before a game, car wash fundraisers and the annual Santa Clause Christmas parade.
