With their season coming to an end, and some cleats about to get hung up, we would like to congratulate the 2017 graduating women’s lacrosse seniors on amazing Excalibur careers!

Thank you ladies for your dedication to always bleed green and the sense of Excalibur pride you brought to our campus, community, and across the province. You are role models on the field, in the classroom, and will remain champions in all aspects of life. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

From left to right:

Donna Ward – Donna became an Excalibur in 2014 and was a starting attack ever since. Her stick skills, fast feet and hardworking attitude helped the Excalibur win many games over the last four years, including the 2016 Ontario University Athletics Championship! In 2014, she was awarded team rookie of the year, and since then became a team favorite. She makes other players around her better by passing the ball for an assist or by cutting quickly to make room for a one-on-one drive to the net. She constantly came up with ground balls off the draw and created a positive energy for her teammates to feed off of.  A leader both on and off the field, Donna is graduating Trent with a Forensic Science degree!

Jenna Dell’Angelo – Jenna joined the Excalibur after four years at McMaster University. She is a hardworking team player who played attack for Mac but quickly switched over to play defense for us. Her ability to adapt to whatever is throw at her makes her an unbelievable teammate, and helped develop her into a great defensive player. Jenna is graduating Trent with a Nursing degree!

Rachel Callahan - Rachel joined the Excalibur in 2014 and worked hard at several different positions before finding her role on the defensive unit. In 2016 she solidified a starting spot on defense, and played a major role in bringing home an Ontario University Athletics Championship! This past season she quickly stepped into a leadership role and was instrumental in guiding the young team against tough competition. While graduating Trent with a Nursing degree, she has developed into a confident and resilient lacrosse player!

Alexandra Ogilvie – Allie became an Excalibur in her third year of University in 2015 after transferring from Ohio State University. In her first season, she worked hard to rehab from an ACL injury in order to play in the final weekend helping the team earn a 5th place league finish. She then quickly established herself as a leader on and off the field and was named a 2016 First team OUA All-Star, team MVP, and captain. Not to mention, she played a large part in Trent’s undefeated 2016 season and was instrumental in the midfield to help win the Ontario University Athletics Championship! Unfortunately, she suffered a concussion midway through this past season, leaving her unable to compete in the playoffs. Yet, her leadership and hard style of play left a mark on the younger players, and helped inspire them to a 5th place finish. Allie is graduating Trent with a Biology degree!

Jessica Kumka – Jess began playing for Trent in the inaugural 2013 season. Due to her hard working attitude and fantastic athleticism she quickly worked her way into the starting line up at midfield. She is a strong leader and always demonstrated what it means to bleed green. An Ontario Champion and an absolute joy of a player to coach, Jess is graduating Trent with an Indigenous Environmental Science Studies degree!
