Peterborough, ON - The Excalibur Men's Volleyball team started their preseason last night against the Loyalist Lancers. After a slow start, the team would storm back winning the match 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-21).

Trent had a very slow start to the match, trailing 13-16 at the first technical time-out to the Lancers. The Excalibur would claw back, but fell just short losing the first set 23-25. The second set would see the Excalibur catch fire and there was no looking back.

The Excalibur were led by 2nd year Emmanuel Danso-Amofa with 13 points on 9 kills, 3 blocks and 1 service ace, and 5th year Jacob Bothen with 11 points with 9 kills and 2 service aces. Kyler Gannon led all rookies with 7 points on 6 kills and 1 service ace. Gannon also lead the team in hitting efficiency swinging 0.750 in his first appearance for the green and white.

The Men's next game is this Friday, September 28 at home as they take on the RMC Paladins in their first of 3 weekend games. Game time is at 6 PM.
