Weekend Recap:

Saturday, November 25th

Women’s Volleyball: Trent University (2) Vs. Durham College (3)

Men’s Volleyball: Trent University (3) Vs. Durham College (0)

Over 100 Alumni, Friends, and Dignitaries gathered to celebrate the contributions of Paul S. B. Wilson, or ‘PSB’ for short. Wilson was Trent’s first Athletics Director – serving for 36 years – and beyond that, far into his retirement as an Alumni Ambassador for Trent. With significant contributions in the fields of squash and rugby, Paul possesses a zest for life and has a definitive passion for team camaraderie. Some of the dignitaries in attendance were: Mayor Daryl Bennett, MP of Peterborough-Kawartha Maryam Monsef, Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal, Trent University President Leo Groarke, and Trent Athletics Director Deborah Bright-Brundle.

In a heated battle vs. the Durham, the Women’s Volleyball team took the Lords all the way to the fifth set. Losing the final set by a score of 15-6, the women are proud of their performance and are hungry for their next opportunity to face the women from Durham.

The Men’s Volleyball team maintained their Durham-win sweep streak at the 3:00pm game Saturday. Taking the Lords 3 games to none, the Trent men showed an impressive performance of calm, collected play. The Excalibur look forward to their next matchup with Durham at their last home game in February.
