At Trent, significant investments have been made in the varsity soccer program to ensure that the University continues to attract exceptional student athletes from around the world. With the Trent soccer program, our athletes stay in competitive shape all year round, with both men's and women's varsity teams competing in the outdoor Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and training and competing indoors during the winter months. Trent's varsity soccer players also benefit from strong academic support and encouragement, ensuring that all athletes maintain the healthy balance between athletics and academics.

If you are interested in playing on the Trent Varsity Soccer Team for the upcoming 2013/2014 season, please contact one of our coaches, listed to the right.

Vanderholst commits to Excalibur Men's Soccer

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Men's varsity soccer coach Stuart Robertson is pleased to declare that Pat Vanderholst  has committed to play for the Excalibur in September.

Vanderholst a Colebrook,Ontario resident who plays his soccer for Cataraqui Clippers in the OYSL brings a wealth of experience playing at a very high level.

Pat's thoughts on Concurrent Education at Trent and playing soccer were,"I owe a lot to my school running/soccer coach, Leslie Lawlor. She is humble, hard working individual who is a  great role model and she is part of the reason I am taking Concurrent Education. I am extremely excited to attend Trent University and become a teacher so maybe one day I can have an impact on another student's life like Leslie Lawlor has done for me .I am looking forward to the gorgeous campus and small town feel of Trent. I am grateful for the opportunity to tryout/play for the Trent Soccer team ,RMC assistant coach and family friend, Mike Akai ,spoke very highly of the coaches and playing environment at Trent so I can't wait to start!"

Coach Robertson stated ,"Pat is a player we have coveted for a while,he has pace and a great work ethic but the best part about him is he is an outstanding young man.We are thrilled to have him as a student-athlete,he will make major contributions on and off the field."

The Men's team opens camp on August 15th at 8am.
